Delivery & Returns

UK deliveries of the products shown on our website are carried out by independent companies/carriers, either on behalf and directly from our suppliers or on behalf of ourselves. Therefore, although we can offer a guidance and communication to these supplier/carriers, specific days and times are outside of our control and delays, although rare, are sometimes unavoidable.

As a guide, our suppliers aim to arrange shipment of all in-stock items within 28 days of receiving your order. Please note that your order may be delayed if the item is not in stock.

Goods will be sent to the address given by you in your order and stated in the PayPal Order Confirmation e-mail. Please note that it is possible that orders with multiple goods may be sent to you in instalments.

Where we offer free delivery, this will be to UK MAINLAND ONLY

Cancellation After Processing

The United Kingdom Consumer Protection Regulations allow you to cancel your contract within 7 working days from our receipt of your order (confirmed via our Confirmatory e-mail) to receive a full refund of any payments made to Maid of Wood. Please note that an administration charge of 7.5% will be made against orders where credit card and debit card transaction has occured in order to cover costs incurred due to credit card transaction fees.

Maid of Wood will accept order cancellations sent by email or by post. To facilitate this cancellation, you must send either a letter or an e-mail (to, quoting the paypal order reference number and your name and address.

Please note that cancellation of order after placement of order with our supplier(s) will attract a 15% administration charge if we are unable to return the goods in question and cannot therefore gain an immediate refund from our supplier. This fee is required to cover subsequent warehousing and stock depreciation charges. All refunds will be repayable via either cheque or credit card.


We have every confidence that you will be delighted with the goods that you received from Maid of Wood. However, in the unlikely event that you are dissatisfied with the products that you receive, we will be happy to replace or refund them subject to the following; 

Notification to Maid of Wood must be made within 7 days of receipt of your goods, in writing via e-mail to and fully outlining the relevant issue / cause for the requirement to return the said goods.

Goods must be returned within 14 days of receipt.

Goods must be unused / un-assembled and returned in their original packaging and condition - we will not accept returns of used / assembled or incorrectly packaged items.

In the unlikely event that goods arrive faulty or damaged, or develop a fault within a short period of time, please inform us immediately so that we can replace them in accordance with your statutory rights.

We are only able to refund the cost of postage where goods are supplied in a faulty or damaged condition.

These conditions do not affect your statutory rights.

Maid of Wood reserves the right to make a restocking charge for any goods which are not returned in mint condition or to refuse to accept such goods, either at its sole discretion or at the discretion of our relevant supplier (s) and subsequently advised to Maid of Wood. This restocking charge will be set at 20% of the total value of the original order made by you in placing the original order for the purchase of the goods.

Maid of Wood or our designated supplier reserves the right to make a pre-advised charge for the collection of goods from your premises.

Your statutory rights are not affected by any of the Terms & Conditions outlined above.
